16 & 35 CVS film scanners transfer motion picture and high-speed data films to high resolution digital format. Precision pin-registered film transports automatically moves the film in response to command signals from the system's high-end PC work station to gently handle valuable films. A systems combines a new generation cool white LED light source, flat image plane, high shutter speeds and process lenses. The CVS combines these benefits with pin-registered accuracy and the result is precise frame-to-frame stability, high resolution and needle-sharp images. The CVS is supplied with high-resolution progressive scan color or monochrome CCD/CMOS digitizing cameras. These cameras capture full frame images and automatically store the data on the PC's dual SCSI hard drives that are front panel mounted, lockable and easily removed for security purposes. These drives are 1.25 million hour MTBF rated and are forced cooled 10,000 RPM AV hard drives, each with 16MB of cache. A third internal 80MB non-removable hard drive is installed to support the operation system and other user applications. CVS monochrome systems are supplied with a Basler A402k CMOS camera that delivers a4 mega-pixels at 8 or 10-bit digital output, with Camera-Link interface. The color camera outputs 1280 x 960 @ 24 bit RGB. Optional cameras with resolution up to 11 million pixels. The entire system is packaged in a single chassis with robust construction to assure alignment and stability between camera, lens and film transport. Digital formats are selectable during image capture, and can be exported to various file formats, including, AVI, MPEG, TIFF, JPEG, MJPEG etc. The PC's I/O ports are Ethernet, FireWire and USB 2.0 and are compatible with all archival storage and digital post production equipment. |
The 16 & 35 CVS Film Scanners are supplied as a "turnkey" system with a Intel Pentium 4® 3.0Ghz PC workstation operating under Windows XP® Pro with Licence.

Basler A402k CMOS 4-MegaPixel Camera This interline progressive scan camera delivers excellent digital images for demanding applications. It utilizes square pixels with 55% fill factor and special enhancement circuitry to assure uniformity of images. The cameras CMOS sensor outperforms CCD sensors by greatly increasing the dynamic range response approaching that of film. The camera outputs 10 pit (1024 levels of grayscale) digital imagery via its Camera Link® interface. Monochrome Camera Specifications

DFW-SX900 Digital Camera The SONY DRW-SX900 is a high resolution digital color video camera utilizing a 1/2" progressive scan interline transfer CCD. The IEEE 1394 digital interface realizes a transfer speed of 400 Mbps. Its digital transmission maintain the highest quality original image without " Analog-to-Digital conversion". The square pixels eliminate the need for aspect ratio conversion in the image processor. The images are processed by the PC workstation for output to selected file formats.
